Working at McClatchy’s Washington bureau, I served as tablet editor, overseeing digital and mobile editions for 30 newspaper markets across the U.S., including initiatives on design, production, and mobile-first storytelling. I liaised with vendors on new products and did some straight news editing and curation as well. I conceived and oversaw development on a new digital product, Magnify, a tablet-native paginated news magazine that aimed to surface the best stories from across the company in an easy-to-navigate and good-looking format.
